Haaretz Service and News Agencies: 'Iran behind Hezbollah bid to strike Egypt targets'
Talkback
Title:Mubarak`s dictatorial reign is coming to an end
Name:Joe
City: State: Free Tejas/Occupied Palestine
It never ceases to amaze me how people and nations continue to fail to learn the lessons of history. What did we learn from the Shah`s dictatorial reign in Iran? Blowback is a bitch. We are witnessing the last days of the dictator Mubarak, forget about his actions against so called "Hezbollah operatives", HIS OWN PEOPLE hate the guy and he has been rounding up opposition members, brutalizing them and oppressing any dissent. As a result, the backlash is not in doubt but a question of when. Already Egyptian society is evolving into a more religious state. It is an inevitable reaction to secular tyranny under Mubarak ( as we saw with the Shah). Only thing lacking in Egypt is a Khomeini or Nasrallah like figure to emerge and lead the masses to overthrow the dictator and his regime. That day is fast approaching as a leader will emerge - it`s inevitable. Egyptians were and remain disgusted with Mubarak`s role in the Gaza slaughter. Then he invites Netanyahoo, with Lieberman as FM, to Cairo? He will be lunching with Sadat before you can say shalom.
