there`s not one single mention in all of the translated hieroglyphics of the parting of the sea. Neither is there a single mention of Hebrew slaves nor any archaeological finds supporting their presence. Quite simply because these so called `events` never physically happened.
It`s well known that Bible is heavily codified and is not meant to be taken literally... "Egypt", for example, refers to the ego.
And while we`re on - there`s no archaeological evidence supporting 40 years wandering in a (it has to be said) very small desert, nor the walls of Jericho tumbling. Etc etc.
There`s a place for religion, but taking the Bible literally has taken it too far. |
