| The full name of Nuweiba means "Moses opening the waters", and was, presumably, given to this place in the past when the memory of this fantastic miracle was fresh in the human mind. A tsunami, being totally destructive, would not have resulted in the local inhabitants giving their village the name of "Moses opening the waters". It would have been something like "Death from the sea" instead. It is important for Islam not to allow the full and public archeological investigation of either the Gulf of Aqaba at Nuweiba or of Mount Sinai, which they have surrounded with fencing. To have such scientific, archeological evidence that there truly was an exodus from Egypt under Moses according to the Jewish Bible would show that the God of the universe was the God of Moses, of Abraham, Isaac and Israel.
