I remember as a kid we weren`t shomer so my great-uncle or my zaida would give whomever found the afikomen $5 - which was HUGE money in those days for a kid!
One year we had my cousin and his twins so I bought them and my daughter a book each - each book was about Pesach and I only did it coz I know that my cousin`s kids don`t know much about Pesach and I used it as a way to help them learn with a book.
Now that my parents are religious there will be no gift for my daughter (the only child this year)until after yom tov and by then she`ll have forgotten! |
