| The "just settlement" of the refugees issue is for the Muslim countries to recognize that in 1948 there were about 900.000 Jewish people living in the Arab world, and to acknowledge that the Jews were second-rate citizens at best. Almost all of them left within a few years, 600.000 to Israel, 300.000 to the West. It would greatly help the peace process if ithe Arabs would accept that this was a for the Arab side more than fair people exchange for the 630.000 Arabs that left Israel in 1949. |
