I visited a `Pirate Museum` in Havana and was surprised to find that much of the weaponry had Arabic engravings! Upon reflection though, this is actually not really that surprising: The "New World" was discovered at the same time that the Jews and Muslims were expelled from Spain. Many of those expelled went to North Africa, Holland and Turkey, but others apparently took to the seas to try their fate in new circumstances....
