| No country has an "inherent" right to exist. Countries exist for as long as they can protect themselves through military might or peaceful coexistance with their neighbors. If countries have an inherent right to exist then the old Soviet Union has such a right, and many other countries that have come and gone share the same right. What Israel means by its "right to exist" is, it wants the Arabs to accept the fact that its inception was based on the canibalization of the Palestinians and their land. |
