Israel has recognized the right of the Palestinians for a state by accepting the UN
resolution on the division of the British Mandate. Israel has allowed the PLO to return to establish such state and the PLO agreed to establish peaceful relations with Israel (Oslo accord). Israel has left Gaza totally and absolutly leting the Palestinians to start and establish such state. Since 1969 there was no real border between Gaza and Israel. People and goods moved freely. The Hamas took over and declared permanent war on Israel. Since that one side declaration there has been war going on. If and when the Hamas will accept every thing the PLO signed things can develop toward mutual accomodation. This is not happening. |
