Howdy Outsider;

With conformal fuel tanks and a couple of external jetissonable tanks, both the F-16I and F-15D have ranges with a full weapons load of over 3,400 mi. The distance from central Israel, through the Gulf of Aqaba, down the Red Sea, and to the target in the Sudan near the Egyptian border could not be more than 700 mi. (1,400 mi. round-trip). That leaves about 2,000 mi. worth of gas to waste in locating the target and destroying it. The Eitan TP (Heron) drone has a range of well over 10,000 mi., but it`s slow and would have to have been sent on ahead as would an electronic jamming aircraft to blind the Sudanese air-defense radar systems. I don`t see how you can claim that refueling would have been required and that, therefore, the U.S. did it.
