| israel has demonstrated,again,ovewhelming and awesome military capabilities,probably unique in its theatre of operation,which is obviously far-ranging and effective.it does warm the cockles of one`s heart. however,there is a catch.it undermines the extent to which israel is under "existential threat" from the palestinians in the west bank/judeah-samaria.it decreases sharply the worth of golan as buffer or "eyes of state".as does recent bombing of syria,unretaliated,and conclusions therefrom.as to sheeba farm-i have no idea what it is,but lebanon too,seems a minor threat,accessible to israel,at its discretion(after u.s. o.k).again don`t get me wrong;if israel solved,one way or another,the palestinian problem,and campaigned in sudan,like the great powers do(namely far from home if possible)i would never post a comment again. |
