| 1. The Quartet conditions were forced on the European by the U.S. in the first place. Europe is a follower not a leader. 2. Force Israeli withdrawal to 1967 by finally enforcing UN resolution 242. 3. East Jerusalem is occupied territory and falls under UN resolution 242. Sharing it is more than fair. 4. Divinding Jerusalem`s municipalities where Israels control their part and the Palestinian control theres. Jerusalem stays united. 5. Settlements are illegal under international law and the 4th Geneva convention. They are squatters and have no rights whatsover. 6. UN troops serve in many countries to keep the peace. This is their job. Maybe Volcker is not the one that needs to take the hike. |
