| saying that the pro-Israel lobby "controls" the US govt. would not only be prejudiced but foolish as well...nobody controls the US..even pro-Israel lobby is no match when an issue is totally against US interest (like bombing Iran)...having said that, it certainly has a lot of influence in areas where there is no direct confrontation w/ US interests ... like unconditional aid support (monetary as well as military), unbridled diplomatic support(in UN and the likes), zero criticism (or rather permanent positive commentary) and so on for Israel are no doubt heavily a work of the lobbies |
