| Since Jews make up approximately 2% of the U.S.` population, the "disproportionate" nature of their influence is a misnomer from the start. More to the point, do your homework - where do the political contributions of Israeli lobbies (there isn`t a uniform "lobby") compare with, say, the oil lobby - or labor unions - or the pharmaceutical companies? Where do you think the Saudis and their oil billions fall within the influence of the oil lobby? As far as Jews and the interests of "another country," that`s another thinly veiled misnomer. Americans of gentile european persuasions had the interests of their homelands protected via the untold billions of dollars the U.S. spent to prevent the Soviet Union from overrunning western europe. "Lobbies" weren`t necessary. |
