| BK: "GOLAN WAS ANEXED,BASTA" When, BOB? The Golan Heights Law certainly does not say that the Golan has become part of the sovereign territory of Israeli. Read it, BOB, rather than simply salivate over it. It says that henceforth the Golan Heights would come under Israeli civil law, and not remain (as it had been) under IDF Military Law. An illegal act, to be sure, but still an act that falls far short of "annexation". It simply isn`t enough to extend your own legal jurisdiction to a territory (various trustee arrangements work that way, for example). You have to claim SOVEREIGNTY over the territory, and that is something that Israel has never done. |
