| How can you have a negotiated settlement between Israel and the palestinians when the new Israeli government does not recognise the Palestinians as a people and therefore does not recognise the legitimacy of a Palestinian state? How can you have a settlement when israel has commited to furthering its settlement projects and has not met its commitments in dismantling those it said would come down? How can you have negotiations with a government that hopes to create collaborationist cantons and call it economic bridge building? How can peace be negotiated with a government that is preparing to disenfranchise 20% of its population? |
