| This government is going to be very "Arab" about its Arabs. It will talk sweetly and be very tough on the ground. It really wants to organize land and population swaps to secure Israel geographically and demographically for the long haul, and figures that no deal is better than what they believe is a bad deal for Israel. This is a Zionist government that will see an upside in American governmental oppostion to Israel, even as it wants to continue the alliance. They know that the balance of power is shifting in the world and that America is ambivalent concerning whether and how it wants to lead the world. |
