It boggles the mind, a Palestinian Arab takes a novel by George Orwell who has a pig as one of the major players in the story line and that pig is an Arab, no less.
We pulled that shtick and the Israel Supreme Court goes bonkers, the Arab world goes bonkers. Maybe its time to let things be, and let pigs be pigs, no matter how we symbolize them. I`m waiting for the Fatwah to come that says the play, the story, the whole idea of presenting that kind of aminmal on a stage, among Arab Moslems is an abomination. |
