I wonder what other secret deals the two men have struck. Don`t they know that building houses on occupied territories is illegal according to International laws? The settlements already built are deemed illegal. Even President Obama, an ardent pro-Israel man, has said so. So building more settlements in the West Bank would be not only illegal, but atrocious also.
The evil of apartheid in South Africa ended only after the world started an economic boycott of South Africa; and I believe that the evil of the settlement expansion will end only when the world starts an economic boycott of Israel also. The world is watching Israel very closely after witnessing Israel`s actions against the Palestinians during the Gaza War. Netanyahu should re-think about building settlements on Palestinian lands, or lose support of millions of people around the world. |
