| I have mixed emotions about these reports. First, I never served in the military. I do believe the military`s purpose is to fight and win wars. However, this conflict is tricky. The enemy is overmatched militarily but fights as determined guerillas. Finally, the residents of Gaza will live next door to Israel for eternity. I suggest that the Israeli government and IDF think carefully through goals, objectives and a strategy more suited to today`s situation than "changing reality" and "facts on the ground" that guided the wars in 1948, 1967, and 1973. |
