While it`s been about 35 years since Israel & Egypt have been at war, there hasn`t been real peace with Egypt since Mubarak took over 28 years ago. They play a game of duplicity similar to Pakistan, where they pay lip-service to the "peace process" in order to get billions of $ US aid but then turn a blind-eye to weapons smuggling to Hamas.-Observer
Egypt does not routinely overfly neighboring countries, or bomb neighboring countries. The Egyptians are bound by the peace treaty as how many troops and policemen and type of military equipment it can have in the Gaza border area. They had asked Israel to allow them to increase their capability there and Israel refused. BTW, when Israel controlled the Sinai Gaza border they were not effective eat stopping the smuggling either.
It is Israel that is sucking like an obese pig at the American teat and whining while paying lip service to the peace process. They do not deserve one penny from America. |
