| This is still a good reason to chill relations with Israel. Normally, Israel is used to doing whatever pleases them at the moment and never facing any serious consequences. For example, in the 2006 war, Israel bombed and killed four UN observers. Israel refused to cooperate with the UN investigation. Soon after, everyone forgot about it and America did not even criticize Israels actions. Another example? America has long been against Israels west bank expansion. Last year, Bush remarked on it, calling it "an impediment to peace". Israel ignored Bush, increased expansion, and Bush never complained again. I could go on forever. I don`t mind that Israel acts like a tribe of jerks, it`s just that they should pay the price occassionally. |
