2. In 9/11, there were 2,974 fatalities. In the aftermath, the Bush administration announced a war on terrorism. Estimates of deaths caused by the invasion to Afghanistan from 2001 to the end of 2008 range from 7,760 to 18,000. The majority of these deaths caused by US and coalition troops. In December 2005 President Bush said there were estimates of 30,000 Iraqi dead. |
