The world talks with the PA, which recognizes Israel and seeks the two states solution, but shuns Hamas, which doesn`t recognize Israel and seeks genocide. When Fatah and Hamas formed in the past the unity government, whose guidelines just omitted the issue of two states solution, that government was shunned by the world, too.
Now, if the new government in Israel doesn`t include explicitly into its guidelines the two states solution, than why would the world deal with such government? And if the reconciliation talks among the Palestinians result in a government which doesn`t recognize Israel and two states solution, why would the world deal with such government?
Tzipi Livni was absolutely right, when she refused to form the govt., which doesn`t call explicitly for the partition of the land into two states. If the right-wing govt. is formed in Israel now, it has no chance to stand for long, it would also lead Israel to international isolation and the sooner it collapses, the better. |
