Actually Madoff and his ilk spent many cookies financing organizations to propagandize the idea that all regulation of business was an evil liberal scheme to keep `you from doing what you want with your money."
They also spent lots of cookies financing the republican party and bribing, oops, contributing to critical democrats to eliminate, thwart, or simply not enforce those regulations and laws that stood in the way of the Madoff/Wall Street Gang.
Thus the Cookie Monster didn`t gobble all the money.
Some crumbs had to be allowed to `trickle down` to lesser criminals in order to facilitate the Cookie Monster`s depravity. |
