The Australian press records this conflict as a true crime against humanity, and I understand that criminal procceedings for war crimes and
crimes against humanity will shortly be instigated in the Hague. Australia also understands that PM Gordon Brown from England will be a key witness for the prosecution after he was hailed a `hero` by Hamas and other freedom fighters against oppression and crimes against humanity in his recent swing thru Gaza.
On the other hand, the defense will argue that it was the IRA (amongst others) who supported and trained Hamas and Hezballah over the years and that Brown was only serving the oil interests of his country, an allegation that Brown strenuously denies.
