| HM Government, under PM Blair, was right to end contacts with the terrorists of Hizbullah in 2005. HM Government, under PM Brown, was wrong to change this policy. It is not a change in Hizbullah`s behaviour or attitudes which can be attributed to the new policy. The armed and political parts of Hizbullah are still two sides of the same coin. What has changed is the UK PM, and thus the political calculus. Gordon Brown is in serious political trouble, and he is prostituting himself for every supporter he can find - including those of George Galloway`s. To no avail, I predict. When the elections finally do arrive, Mr Brown and his tolerance for terrorists will be swept out. And when David Cameron replaces him in office, the policy toward Israel, and against terrorists, can only get better. MV |
