| Palestinians should use Mohandas Gandhi`s approach: satyagraha. The Israelis are a civilised people, and rather than using stones against them, civil disobedience would be much more effective. I am a strong supporter of Israel in most things, but the Fence, with its division of Palestinian fellahin from their fields, families, and livelihoods, troubles me greatly, and strikes me as most unjust. Killing Israelis won`t right the injustice, but appealing to their better nature might. MV |
