| That `$64 billion` is mostly in the form of `profits` that were fictitious to begin with. What`s there is whatever was put in minus whatever Madoff paid out minus whatever he spent both on himself and to run the operation. All those club memberships, charities... Maybe $20 billion might still be out there -- but not $64 billion. I promise you. That was never there. |
