| There is no real surprise with this position. It is all in how it is interpreted and applied. For example, the last time the US cut off the PA, Hamas was driven to find an alternate funding mechanism and initially the entire PA was temporarily funded by Iran. Somebody woke up to this not being such a bright idea. The world will have to see if there is a unity government or any PA government reconstituted at all. Everything may collapse. Maybe they`ll form a unity government that declares recognition of Israel to the extent that Israel recognizes a Palestinian State`s right to exist. That would be a wrench into the works.
