It would have been far better to have killed Kuntar and some of the others exchanged with him when it turned out that the two Israeli soldiers were returned in coffins. It is time to break the chain that states that if one waits long enough the Israelis will give in and do whatever the terrorists want. As soon as Shalit was isolated, every Arab terrorist prisoner should have been isolated from everyone and everything; no visitors, no TV, no exercise yards, no Red Cross, nothing except food and toilets. As conditions changed for Shalit, so would conditions for Terrorists. The only swap should be for prisoners who would have been released anyway. |
