| Why does Madoff evoke such resentment? Many reasons, depending upon who is responding. 1. He is every anti-Semite`s dream, no, nightmare, of the money grubbing Jew without a conscience. 2. He is the Jew who used his Judaism to betray other Jews. 3. He is the greedy criminal who by his social and political connections lived the VERY high life for decades and who will only pay with the last few years of his life. 4. He is everything most folks secretly wish to be: dashing, clever, capable and successful and RICH beyond any reason or need. |
