Ms Liliane, You are little naive when you say he "didn`t harm anyone". If Marom were just anybody, maybe it wouldn`t matter, but he is highly placed. If, indeed, criminal elements are involved in such places, and, they know who he his, where he works, and other pertinent details about him, his innocence is thing of the past.
As well, it doesn`t do for an officer who is married to be known to frequent such places. There are other officers who are married, who may be more traditional or otherwise circumspect about the standards of behavior expected of military officers. It doesn`t bode them well.
Consider Ike Eisenhower`s "chauffeur" and what Harry Truman said about her--it was a choice of Ms. Summersby, or remaining the Chief of Staff. Apparently, Ike wanted to stay at his job. You could argue that he "didn`t do anything wrong", though Mamie would have disagreed. |
