| Vatican representatives ironically could voice cynically distorted anti-Israeli/pro-Gazan statements comparing Gaza to an Israeli-imposed "concentration camp" (thus trivializing the Shoah to an extent which seems to represent the vatican`s consistant current position on this issue) during the recent relatively minor military conflict in the south. Yet this xtian organization failed utterly to declare any public protest for the existence of the real concentration camps and the genocide of unparalleled human proportion which was carried out in their own front yard. Jewish trust in the good faith of this insitution was shattered long ago, & it seems to be backsliding to its old ways after a brief post-Shoah break which now appears to have been predicated more on a fresh sense of guilt at the time rather than a permanent moral re-adjustment. How can the vatican even be trusted not to hide or destroy the documented evidence of their complicity in the Shoah as they "prepare" their archives ? |
