This article is strangely misinformed.
1) Since when do governments "resolve" historical questions? That is the job of historians, some of whom are gathered at Yad vaShem. They recognize the historical complexity of the situation and don`t think in manichean black and white.
2) "Most Jews believe. . ." Has a poll been taken of all Jews or even of Israeli Jews? Might not most Jews (or most Christians, or most any group whatever) be mistaken about an historical circumstance?
3) Williamson was not "reinstated." He cannot function licitly according to Canon Law as a bishop. One of many ecclesiastical penalties was lifted. |
