Is Lieberman a racist for demanding a loyalty oath? I suppose that Jews serving in the Knesset will have to take the same oath. That would eliminate anti-Zionist Orthodox parties as well. One standard for all is not racist.
Is Lieberman a hardliner against concessions for peace? He supports the two state solution, and even favors giving a Palestinian state land within the Green Line in exchange for Jewish settlements on the West Bank. He actually would give up more than Labor or Kadima.
Saying that, I agree that Lieberman has no particular qualifications to be the Foreign Minister. But a lack of qualifications has never stopped anyone from serving in the cabinet before. |
