This moment should have arrived only to an Israel that had normalized -if not ideal- relationships with the Arab world, based on the Arab Peace Initiative and the Geneva Initiative, with a strong unity government at the center, and the closest relationship with the USA, very good ones with the EU, and friendly ones with Russia and China. Non of it is the case. Israel appoints Lieberman as her face abroad. The country has gone mad.
While Iran crosses that threshold, Kamtza and Bar Kamtza (as the legendary squabblers who caused the Second Temple to be destroyed) are shuffling their egos in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Who knows, perhaps Amos Yadlin is doing that too, God knows why. |
