| The Malmö police clearly stated well before this round of games that there were no problems handling the matches with full audiences. Malmö city council is governed by a socialist majority, and because of the large muslim minority in the city, they wanted to do anything to show the muslims they were on their side in order to win votes. Most of the Swedish media (newspapers, blogs etc) have been pretty unanimous in the condemnations of the Malmö city councils decision. When looking at pictures from the demonstration its plain to see that there is a majority of muslims attending. This has been a very important eye-opener for the common Swede regarding the problems with muslim immigration. My understanding is that the tied is turning in Sweden, and it is not in favor of the muslims. |
