Siege warfare on Gaza`s children doesn`t seem to affect Hamas or work well towards Gilad Shalit`s freedom any more than mass rallies. And taking all those extra hostages didn`t seem to work either.
Olmert wants a freebie and Hamas doesn`t seem any more inclined to give him one than he seems inclined to display a humanitarian bone towards Gaza`s children or the hundreds of hostages Israel holds without charge or trial, let alone those Hamas wants to exchange for.
Political power is more important both to Olmert and Haniya. Two sides of the same coin. |
