Title:I Would Support This Too...But I Have Read The Koran

Who wouldn`t support a dialogue between any groups? I don`t know of any Jew who wouldn`t want peace and togetherness with Muslims. This is a beautiful idea!

It is also an idea that is not based in reality. I would love a closeness between Jews and Muslims, but the Koran, and the teachings of Imam`s today do not allow for it. Like the issue of Israel, if the Muslims were to accept Jews today, there would be peace tomorrow. The lack of love between the groups is not because of the Jews.

I suggest that this Rabbi, actually go and read the Koran. I have: cover to cover, and commentary. Among other things, the Q`ran specifically commands Muslims NOT to take Jews as friends. There are not my words, they are Mohammad`s. Those that they interact with are to be converted to Muslims, or killed.

Beyond the actual religious basis for the animosity between Jews and Muslims, we cannot ignore that it is the Muslims who refuse to accept Jews, not vice versa.
