I am German and first I want to say how sorry I am about the fact, that 12 years of our history destroyed so many lives.
I know, the current opinion on Germans in general is, that Germany wants to get rid of its guilt by denial and trivializing. I know that is the current opnion by many people from abroad.
Let me tell you, this is not ture. We still stand for our history and the topic of nationalsocialistic past has been delt very open with in our society and education. And companies and firms also stated to deal openly with their firming history during the Third Reich to set a sign or mark of coverage of our past. My single request to you is just one thing, acknowlegdement. Acknowledgment of the things that have been achieved in my country, and the open dealing with our dark past, to show that we are an open democratic society, who will not forget about you.
