| It was Israel who created the refugees problem that resulted in the displacement of 140,000 Palestinain Christians in 1948. Those Christians are living now mostly outside the Holyland. During the British mandate, the British started setting the Ground for establishing the Jewish state by making life almost impossible for Palestinians in General and Palestinian Christians in particular. The result, was mass Christian immigration to Latin America. In Chili alone, there are 300,000 people of Palstinain Christian origins. Now with Israel having a systematic procedures of emptying the land of its original inhabitants, more Palestinian Christians are leaving due to road blocks, scarce employment opportunities, insecurity. Not mentioning the confiscation of the residents rights of Christian and Moslem Jerusalemites. Unfortunately, the occupation is driving the usually moderate Palestinian Moslems to become fanatics, giving more unease for the Christians to stay in the Holy Land. |
