Believe it or not, I`ve been to the home of a former Neo Nazi couple in Sweden in 2006 and was absolutely terrified but was repeatedly reassured by a mutual friend that everything would be fine.
Well, it was, until they had a few beers and started telling me how much they wanted people of color out of their country, but said that I was "OK" and "not like them." go figure.
What makes Saudis laugh? well, American comedies are very popular. Even my dad who`s a very traditional Saudi right winger (I`m his complete opposite) loves American comedies like "Meet the Parents" and "analyze this." What makes me personally laugh is SNL, Mad TV, the soup on E, chelsea lately on E, Conan, "Dumb and Dumber" too many things!! |
