Nazareth`s Christian population has dwindled to less than 10% since Oslo. I hope the Catholics will finally be honest about why that is rather than blaming Israeli "checkpoints". That is the systematic persecution of Christians by Muslims in the West Bank, and anywhere else they hold the majority for that matter.
Benedict would be better off giving the mass from the Galilee where Jesus gave the sermon on the mount. But then Nazareth is over-ridden with Muslims as well. Seems to be a reoccuring theme in Islam to take over Christian and Jewish holy places.
Time to stop that. |
