| Israels treatment of the Palestinians over the past decade(s) has been utterly unfair and some of Israels policies are definitely having at least a "racist touch" (automatical exclusion of Arab-Israeli parties from the governement, Jewish-only roads in the West Bank etc...). And it is also true, that right-wing Israels policies are (at least to a certain extent) threatening world peace and stability ("war against terror" etc..). However, to be fair: The organisers of the conference should not hold back the whole historical context. And they should also make it clear, that extremists on the Palestinian side are not 100 % innocent of Israels (moral) "downward spirale" over the past decades.... |
