I am surprised that Israeli public is typically mute when it comes to pointing out historically good relationships between Muslims and Jews.
It was the Ottoman Empire saving the Jews from Spanish Inquisition. Thousands of Sephardic Jews flocked to present-day Bosnia, Albania, Turkey, Azerbaijan, etc. Significant number of Jews still live in these countries with absolute or relative Muslim majority.
Needless to say, these countries never had any sort of state-sponsored plans to destroy their Jewish communities. Yet, Jews often look at these people as if they are their enemies just because they`re Muslim. That`s quite sad. |
