Eli Ashkenazi, Haaretz Correspondent: Israeli Arab charged with spying for Hezbollah
Talkback
Title:to American in NY
Name:Norwegian
City: State: here, where else?
American in NY, you show how little you know the judicial system of your country, assuming you are really american. There is death penalty for treason in the US, especially with the anti-terror laws approved after 9/11. As for Jews spying for Israel in the USA, they are not charged with treason because Israel is a friendly country. So, if you tried to equate this case with Pollard`s, I am afraid your comparison is not accurate. Pollard was charged with passing classified information to a foreign government. But the information was not intended to damage US targets. In the case of this Arab guy, he might be charged with treason for spying for a hostile nation, and yes, the information he intended to pass on was for damaging the State of Israel.
