But who will use such weapons? There are several very belligerent countries in the Middle East who have and could decide to use nuclear weapons, one of whom even has a special relationship" with the US. Perhaps, sadly, it is best that the more that do, the more there is reason not to.
I do think, however, that the most aggressive and aggrandizing country there, Israel, is still less likely to use such a weapon--primarily because it gets its way without such use. Weaker, abused countries, may see it as their only resort. This might suggest to Usrael that they would do well to reign in their aggressiveness towards their weaker neighbors. |
