| India/Pakistan and Greece/Turkey showed us in the 20th century that populations many times larger than that of the west bank can be transfered successfully. It will never be off the table. Israels primary method of avoidance will be to remain unprepared to make such a transfer. In the end, a determined world with American support can force the evacuation of the west bank, whether it be today or in ten years time. Israel is busily making the problems associated with such a transfer as bad as can be, but in the end, that is no concern for the international community. It can still be done. |
