| If there was ever to be a `two state solution` it would have happened while the agreeable Mr. Abbas was the man to negotiate with. Israel had no real desire for a two state solution during the last four years and has during that time so expanded settlements and fences to the point where a two state solution is physically impossible. Now comes Mr. Netanyahu who represent the way things are going in Israel and those who believe in Greater Israel. The world would be wiser to simply accept the fact that the `two state` solution has become impossible. There is no longer any question of Arabs remaining in Judea and Samaria. Nor will Israel allow a Palestinian state beside it`s borders. The question now is where in the world the Palestinians may be moved to. The world will not oppose Israel. Nor will it save the Palestinians. Reminds me quite a bit of the situation in 1938. |
