While I don?t agree with Lieberman on everything, the fact is that he hasn?t changed his views but has ALWAYS supported a Palestinian state in Gaza and the West Bank. As far as ?loyalty oaths,? I hardly see the problem so long as they are required of everyone. Should the state of Israel require that every person wishing the right to exercise the franchise first perform some type of community service ? so long as there are non-military options ? it would be no crime but a quite interesting democratic experiment.
Lastly, on the issue of ?transfer?: so long as the people of the defined area are given the chance to vote on whether they want to be part of ?Palestine? or Israel, there would be nothing wrong. Not only are there many historical precedents for such referendum, but it would be interesting to see what nation the supposedly ?oppressed? Israeli Arabs would choose. |
